The Klippan Yllefabrik AB was founded in 1879. Today, the fourth and fifth generations are working side by side, developing the company. Our philosophy is to combine Swedish design with our long tradition of textile knowledge.
We have developed a textile collection in collaboration with famous Swedish designers. All our blankets and throws are manufactured in our own factory. We only use natural material in our products and try to use eco-material as much as possible.
The family run business Klippan Yllefabrik was started when Jöns Petter Magnusson bought a wool spinning mill at Klippan in 1879.
The business grew over the years and Klippan Yllefabrik's main business was to manufacture and sell yarn for hand weaving and for industrial use until the 1980s. Klippan Yllefabrik became in the 1970s one of Scandinavia's most modern wool spinning plant with about 100 employees.
In the beginning of the 1990s , Klippan Yllefabrik began to concentrate more on home textiles. We bought a wool spinning and weaving plant in Latvia in order to continue to manage the production and maintain full control over the quality. Today the 100 % owned subsidiary, Klippan Saule, produce yarn, throws, blankets and fabric.
Our philosophy is to only use natural fibers such as wool, linen and cotton for our products. A high quality fiber is essential to deliver consistent high quality and a beautiful result. This is why we have chosen to control and make all our purchasing of raw materials.
We are constantly developing our collection offering unique design combined with high quality. Our products are sold in over 200 retailers in Sweden and are exported to about 30 countries in the world.
